Mr. Herbert Honeycomb is a character in the Berenstain Bears series. He is the principal of Bear Country School.
Personality[]
Mr. Honeycomb is a strict, but fair principal. He is stricter than Teacher Bob, though not as strict as Coach Grizzmeyer. As the principal of Bear Country School, Mr. Honeycomb frequently attends board meetings and has to deal with Too-Tall Grizzly and his gang on a daily basis.
Biography[]
The Berenstain Bears and the Bully[]
Mr. Honeycomb made an unseen appearance in this book. Here, he learns that during recess on Friday, Sister saw Tuffy, a female cub, harassing a baby bird that was unable to fly. Sister defended the baby bird and then herself when Tuffy attacked her instead. When Sister gets Tuffy a nosebleed, a recess teacher who witnessed the confrontation sends the girls to Mr. Honeycomb's office. Tuffy fears that she won't be able to sit down for a long while if Mr. Honeycomb calls her parents and tells them what happened.
After talking to both girls, Sister was let off with a warning. Tuffy, however, received a week of lunch recess detention and was ordered to visit the school counselor for a while.
