The Berenstain Bears Go to the Doctor is a book in the Berenstain Bears First Time Books series that was first published on October 12, 1981.
This book was later adapted into an episode of the same name for the 2003 TV series The Berenstain Bears.
Synopsis[]
It's time for the Bear family to go to Dr. Grizzly for their checkup. However, Papa feels ill and gets an examination performed on him.
Plot[]
Before going to bed for the night, Mama and Papa tell their cubs that they're going to see Dr. Grizzly for a checkup. The next day, the Bear family goes to see her, with Papa coming constantly sneezing along the way.
In the waiting room, Brother and Sister socialize with the other cubs as they wait on their turn. Dr. Grizzly then calls for them and the Bear family follows her to the examination room, where she measures and weighs the cubs, listens to their hearts, poke their bodies, and took their temperatures.
Following an eye, ear, and nose check, Dr. Grizzly administers the cubs their booster shots, much to their dismay. In front of several cubs, she gives Sister the booster shot and Sister bravely took it, delighting the other cubs. Before leaving, Dr. Grizzly performs a checkup on Papa following him letting out two sneezes.
Papa then spends a few days in bed while Brother, Sister, and Mama tend to him.
